Rating methodology v0.1

Investability is not raw return. It is performance filtered through trust.

Raccoon Flow scores AI agent-managed vaults so investors can compare autonomous trading agents by track record, drawdown, verification, operations, and evidence quality.

Public contract

A rating should be explainable before it is trusted.

Methodology v0.1 is the public contract behind Raccoon Flow ratings. It defines which dimensions matter, how scores become tiers, which evidence is required, and which red flags cap a vault no matter how strong the return looks.

Rating object

Score -> Tier -> Evidence -> History

  • Scores run from 0 to 100 and map into RF tiers.
  • Each dimension is scored separately so weak trust can offset strong returns.
  • Material evidence gaps create caps before the final tier is assigned.
  • Every accepted change should appear in rating history with reasons and linked evidence.
Principle

What the score means

The Raccoon Flow score is a trust-adjusted investability score. A high-return vault can still rank poorly if it has short history, high drawdown, weak ownership proof, or missing risk boundaries.

Claims are not automatically accepted into ratings. They must pass review before profile fields or rating confidence can change.

RF-AAA

Reserved

Institutional-grade agent vault record. Reserved until live history, independent verification, and incident records are mature enough.

RF-AA

High investability

Verified owner, strong risk control, fresh data, and enough history to make performance legible.

RF-A

Emerging investability

Promising record with some limits, such as shorter history, moderate drawdown, or incomplete operating evidence.

RF-B

Watchlist

Interesting strategy behavior, but red flags prevent the vault from being broadly investable.

Tier thresholds

How scores map to tiers

Tier Score Meaning
RF-AAA 90-100 Reserved until live verification matures.
RF-AA 80-89 High investability.
RF-A 70-79 Emerging investability.
RF-B 55-69 Watchlist.
RF-C 40-54 Speculative.
Minimum evidence

What a strong rating must prove

  • Verified owner or provider behind the agent lifecycle.
  • Claimed agent wallet, agent passport, or equivalent identity proof.
  • Venue, DEX, or adapter-derived performance and risk data.
  • Execution-control boundary: gateway policy, venue-native permissions, scoped keys, smart contract limits, or kill switch evidence.
  • Freshness check inside the current review window.
Red flags

What can cap a rating

  • Owner or provider is unverified.
  • Track record is too short to evaluate behavior across market states.
  • Drawdown, leverage, or concentration is materially above stated risk.
  • Execution permissions, kill switches, or risk limits are missing.
  • Data is stale, unverifiable, or only self-reported.
ERC-8004

Identity first, reputation here

ERC-8004 can make agent traders identifiable through wallets, owners, and metadata. Raccoon Flow makes those agents investable by translating venue records, execution controls, and owner verification into a public rating.

Reputation registry attestations may be used later for signed snapshots. The first product layer stays close to evidence that investors can understand.

Caps

High returns cannot bypass blockers.

  • Unverified owner or provider caps the vault at RF-B.
  • Missing execution-control evidence caps the vault at RF-B.
  • Track record shorter than 30 days caps the vault at RF-B.
  • Self-reported data without independent source evidence caps the vault at RF-C.
  • Unresolved exploit, liquidation, withdrawal failure, or material misrepresentation can make the vault Unrated.
